Michael Taylor Gray to Direct 14th Annual Indie Series Awards


The 14th Annual Indie Series Awards will be directed by Michael Taylor Gray, producers announced on Monday.  The ISAs will celebrate the best in scripted digital entertainment on May 15 at The Colony Theatre in Burbank.

Michael Taylor Gray (Radio Host, Actor, Singer, Director, and Writer) is a previous ISA nominee and award winner from "Pretty The Series", created by Steve Silverman.  Michael has also worked the ISA red carpet for Serial Scoop in recent years, and he's thrilled to "call the shots" for the ISA14 ceremony as the show's director.

Gray has also been hosting and producing "IMRU" on KPFK 90.7 FM, Los Angeles since October 2019.  It's the longest running LGBTQIA2S+ radio show in the world; on the air since 1974!

He has a B.S. degree in Secondary Education (English, Speech, Journalism & Drama) from Bowling Green State University (BGSU, OH) and a Masters degree in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts, CA).  He's a multi-award winning stage actor in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, having been a long-time company member of Southern California's iconic Queer theatre company, The Celebration Theatre (Los Angeles, CA) and an original cast member of the 2001 GLAAD award-winning stage play, "Del Shores' Southern Baptist Sissies."

He's currently working on a stage musical that he's written (book & lyrics) and is collaborating with Berklee School of Music alum, Rich Smith, on composing the music. "And the ISA goes to..."
