Additional Presenters Announced for the 6th Annual Indie Series Awards

Additional presenters were announced today for the 6th Annual Indie Series Awards (ISA6).

Presenters during the April 1st ceremony will include Ryan Bartley (L.A. Macabre), Sarah Brown (Beacon Hill), Richard Cutting (Milgram and the Fastwalkers, DeVanity), Patrika Darbo (The Bay), Mike Donis (Pete Winning and the Pirates), Megan Duffy (Dating Pains), Burt Grinstead (Burt Paxton), Richard Hatch (Pairings), Martha Madison (Winterthorne, The Bay), Susan Louise O'Connor (Wallflowers) and Alexandra Paul (Mentor).

They join previously announced presenters Anthony Anderson (Anacostia), Jillian Clare (Acting Dead), Ashli Dowling (We Are Angels), Andrea Evans (DeVanity), Lilly Melgar (The Bay), Mhairi Morrison (Feathers and Toast), Becky Kramer (Jewvangelist), Jen Lilley (Youthful Daze), Minae Noji (Love Midori), Alisha Spielmann (Producing Juliet), Jason Stuart (Mentor), Corsica Wilson (L.A. Macabre) and Colleen Zenk (Thurston).

Additional presenters will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The 6th Annual Indie Series Awards ceremony, hosted by Emmy Award-winning actor Eric Martsolf (Days of our Lives), will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood.

PRESENTER BIOS

Ryan Bartley
Born in Fort Worth (Cowtown), Texas, Ryan Bartley graduated from the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas before moving to Los Angeles and earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema-Television Critical Studies and a minor in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. Ryan is also a member of Delta Kappa Alpha National Cinema Fraternity and currently sits on its National Council.

Ryan can be seen in the Lifetime movie Queen Sized and voices the lead character of Emi Ito, for the New Horizon English Textbook used throughout the country of Japan to teach school-aged children English. She has also performed for Radio Disney, recording dozens of radio spots and has lent her voice to multiple radio campaigns for top clients including McDonald's and Build-A-Bear Workshop. Ryan is a devout Texas Rangers baseball fan, an animation addict, and avid supporter of the conservation and protection of wildlife.

Ryan plays Jamie Holbrook in L.A. Macabre and is honored to be nominated tonight with the cast in the categories of Best Ensemble - Drama and Best Web Series - Drama.

Sarah Brown
Three-time Emmy-winning actress Sarah Brown began her acting career at the prestigious Los Angeles High School for the Performing Arts. On her nineteenth birthday, Sarah began her professional acting career when she was chosen as the series lead on the popular children's series V.R. Troopers, which aired worldwide, making her a household name with children everywhere. Two short years later, Sarah auditioned for a lead role on the ABC daytime series General Hospital. In what would soon become an oft-told story, Sarah dazzled the producers with a fearless performance that instantly won her the role of tortured troublemaker "Carly Benson". The fearless audition proved to be an indicator of things to come as Sarah began a five-year journey as one of daytime TV's most memorable characters. Her work during those years (1996-2001) won her the respect of her peers, the love and loyalty of fans around the world, the acclaim of critics and an unprecedented four Emmy nominations with three Emmy wins, all before she was twenty-five. Throughout her run on GH, Sarah appeared on stage in productions of "Much Ado About Nothing", "The Rainmaker" and "Cyrano de Bergerac".

Her television credits include CSI, Without a Trace, The Lyon's Den, Crossing Jordan, Dragnet, For the People and Strong Medicine (Lifetime). She was featured in recurring roles on Mysterious Ways (NBC/PAX) and 10-8: Officers on Duty (ABC), and starred in the torn from the headlines USA television movie The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story. She has also been a series regular on Days Of our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful, and returned to General Hospital in a brand new role (Claudia Zacchara). She received an Indie Series Award nomination for her work as Katherine Wesley in Beacon Hill.

Richard Cutting
A native New Yorker, Richard Cutting is continually active in stage, film, television and commercial projects. He is a screenwriter and produced playwright, as well as a feature film producer and web series executive producer. He began acting on stage in classics such as "The Alchemist" by Ben Jonson and Tom Jones at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. He is currently appearing in the lead role of Dr. Daniel Milgram in the original award-winning series Milgram And The Fastwalkers, a noir TV drama about UFOs, for which he is Showrunner, Director, Writer and Executive Producer. Most recently, Cutting appeared in House Of Cards as CIA Liaison in Season 2 and again in Season 3. He played the lead role of Owen Grey in the latest Kevin Kangas film, Garden Of Hedon, and appeared as Joshua Carter in Wayne Shipley’s Western opus, Day Of The Gun.

Cutting worked repeatedly on All My Children and The Wire, and appeared in the Disney feature, National Treasure 2, with Nicolas Cage. His lead roles include Ian Gallagher (The Church), Jake Martin (JuJu: The Witchdoctor Chronicles), The Man (Origin), Ethan (The Color Of Rain Is Red), and Reggie Pope in the Baltimore Playwrights Festival world premiere of $40 Million, If You Want It. He has also appeared on The FBI Files (Discovery Channel).

His feature films include The Weather's Warm When The Sun Is Hot as Thompson, and in the Western Come Hell Or High Water (One-Eyed Horse) as baddie Creed Logan. In The Sins of the Fathers, he played psychiatrist Dr. Ben Nichols. He has a B.A. in Acting/Theatre Studies from Connecticut College, and is an Acting Program Graduate of the National Theater Institute, Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. Meisner Technique trained (Farwell Studio, NYC), he has studied acting with Terry Schreiber Studios, NYC, Martin Blank Studios in DC, and at various acting studios in New York. He also has a Masters in International Economics from Columbia University.

Patrika Darbo
Patrika Darbo's career started when she won a role in the stage production of "Cheatin'" followed by "Daddy's Dyan'...Who's Got the Will?" She re-created the role in the film version and received a Golden Cane Award at the 10th International Comedy Festival in Vevey, Switzerland. However, he most memorable role was her run as the ruthless Nancy Wesley in Days of our Lives (1998-2006), which she reprised again in 2013. Or it could be the role she played in the Burbank Little Theatre production of "Anything Goes," where she met her future husband, Rolf Darbo. Since then, she has amassed feature film credits in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Hatchet, Charlie Wilson's War, In the Line of Fire, Leaving Normal, Corinna, Corinna, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Rango and The Adventures of Mickey Matson Parts 1 and 2. She also was the voice of the one of the sheep in Babe.

Her TV movie credits include The Ruby Bridges Story and Roseanne and Tom: Behind the Scenes (as Roseanne). She also starred in Step by Step (as Aunt Penny), Gilmore Girls, Wedding Bells, Unfabulous and The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman. She also guest-starred in Seinfeld, Sisters and General Hospital. Her web series credits include Acting Dead, The Bay and Miss Behave. She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2000.

Mike Donis
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Mike Donis has been working in many areas of filmmaking virtually his whole life, with a background as a picture editor, director, and most recently, actor. He can be seen as Detective Bill England in Twitchy Dolphin Flix's Quad X 2 and as Shawn, the director of the film-within-the-film in Three Evil Cats' Late Night Double Feature.

Most recently, his work on the continuing web series Pete Winning and the Pirates (which he both directs and stars in the title role) has been recognized at multiple film festivals across the United States and Canada.

Megan Duffy
Nurturing a body of work that encompasses film and television, Megan Duffy has not only carved her own path in Hollywood but her career continues to evolve with exciting and challenging projects.

Megan is most known for starring alongside Elijah Wood in a remake of the 1980s horror thriller Maniac garnering attention as a stand out performance. A former professional dancer as well as music video producer, segueing effortlessly between the big and small screen, Megan has had guest starring roles in some of primetimes most popular shows including Criminal Minds, How I Met Your Mother, Mad Men and Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood. She has also appeared in over 40 national commercials including 25 spots in a US TV and radio commercial campaign for Burger King playing "Megan the Cashier."

A native of Enfield, Connecticut, Megan currently resides in Los Angeles.

Burt Grinstead
Burt Grinstead is an actor/writer born in Florida and raised in Massachusetts. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts conservatory in New York City and is currently molding slowly to the Los Angeles lifestyle after living there for just four short years. Grinstead is a theatrical-trained actor with a desire to entertain. He has made appearances in many theatres from off-Broadway to regional houses to local Los Angeles companies. He has made appearances on television, internet-episodics, shorts, and independent films currently making the festival circuits.

He teamed up with writer/director Aaron Fradkin and actor/producer Benjamin Faigus early in his move to Los Angeles, or rather crashed on their couch for a month until he found his own place. Together, they are focused on creating comedy and dramatic projects that are fun, entertaining, interesting, and profound. Burt Paxton: Private Detective obviously fits all of these descriptive adjectives. Burt Paxton was a collaborative invention that is presently helmed by the creative and talented Aaron Fradkin and co-writer Steve D’Amico. Grinstead is constantly looking to challenge himself by taking on and producing roles that alter an audience's emotional state. Laughter is one of his favorite activities, and he hopes to cause and enjoy giggles for a long time to come. Grinstead’s family raised him with a strong sense of humor and ambition. Richard Hatch
Richard Hatch is an internationally known actor, director, writer, teacher and motivational speaker who has sustained recognition in such series as All My Children, The Streets of San Francisco (for which he won Germany's Bravo Award, equivalent to an Emmy Award), and his role as Captain Apollo in the original Battlestar Galactica series (for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination). His other credits include Dynasty, The Love Boat, Hotel, Santa Barbara, The Waltons, Fantasy Island, CHiPs and Murder, She Wrote.

Hatch's accomplishments as an author include seven original "Battlestar Galactica" novels. He also edited and contributed to "So Say We All," an unauhtorized compendium of thoughts and opinions on Battlestar Galactica. Richard is also working on a novel, "The Great War of Magellan," which he conceptualized years ago and filmed between 2000-2001 as a professional presentation trailer reel.

Martha Madison
Martha Madison, a Houston native, is best known for the role of Belle Blac" on NBC's daytime hit, Days of our Lives. Martha is also currently Executive Producer and Host of the weekly vodcast , "Soapbox" on TradioV.com alongside General Hospital alum, Lilly Melgar.

Martha is slated to star in Michael Caruso's newest online drama, Winterthorne with prime time soap legends, Linda Gray and Gordon Thomson. Production is set to begin at the end of March.

Susan Louise O'Connor
Susan Louise O'Connor plays Rhonda in the web series Wallflowers. Elsewhere on the interweb, she can be seen in Lucy Knows Love and Project Beth, both of which she stars in, co-wrote & co-produced and in the upcoming series O.T.P.

O'Connor’s TV & film credits include: Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: CI, Orange is the New Black, Boardwalk Empire, Doomsdays, Front Cover, Flying Scissors, Coming Up Roses & The Poets. She made her Broadway debut in Blithe Spirit with Angela Lansbury, receiving a Theatre World Award, the Dorothy Loudon Fellowship & an Outer Critics Circle Nomination. Alexandra Paul
The star of over 75 feature films and television programs and internationally recognized for her 5-year starring role as Lt. Stephanie Holden in the tv series Baywatch, Alexandra Paul began her acting career at age 18 starring in the highly rated telefilm Paper Dolls. She then starred in the Warner Bros. motion picture American Flyers opposite Kevin Costner, Dragnet opposite Tom Hanks & Dan Ackroyd, Eight Millions Ways to Die opposite Jeff Bridges & Andy Garcia, Stephen King’s Christine, Spyhard with Leslie Nielsen and two films opposite Pierce Brosnan.

Recently, she has starred in the web series Mentor and the Syfy movie Fire Quake, and will appear in the film Dirty. Next up, Alexandra Paul stars in the made for TV movies Christmas Spirit and No One to Blame.
