Patrika Darbo to Host Indie Series Awards for Fourth Time


Emmy Award-winning actress Patrika Darbo will host the 13th Annual Indie Series Awards on April 12 at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, producers announced on Wednesday.  This will be the fourth time Darbo has hosted or co-hosted the event, which celebrates the best in scripted entertainment for the web.

"Patrika is a Hollywood legend and always brings down the house," said ISAs producer Roger Newcomb.  "We couldn't be more excited to work with her again."

Darbo is a Primetime Emmy and Indie Series Award- winning actress and multiple Daytime Emmy nominee who has worked in film and television for four decades. Most recently she is known for her fan favorite roles on daytime dramas Days of Our Lives and The Bold and The Beautiful.

In primetime, the former Television Academy Governor was a series regular on the sitcom Step By Step and had recurring and guest-starring roles on Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids, Seinfeld, Dexter, The Big Bang Theory, The Middle, Roseanne and countless other popular series. On the big screen she is recognized for roles in Speed 2, In The Line of Fire, Leaving Normal and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

She has appeared in numerous web series and received two Indie Series Awards for her work in Studio City and Indoor Boys.

Chateau Laurier leads all series this year with 15 ISA nominations, followed by Studio City (13), Detention Adventure (11), Millennials (11) and Complicated (10).
